Weekly Insight: My best decision of 2025
I started this year with a lot of goals.
Some, I’ve hit.
Others, not even close.
But my biggest goal was clear: rebuild my health after selling my startup.
And a newer goal: become the hottest, healthiest version of my self before my 38th birthday next year.
I had just come off of 7 years of high stress, high anxiety environment.
Daily fire drills, constant pressure, and a wrecked nervous system.
Plus giving birth and raising two babies in the middle of it.
Two postpartum seasons.
I burnt out more times than I remember, but then got back up and pushed again.
It’s something many entrepreneurs don’t talk about: when you’re succeeding in business, it often comes at the expense of your health.
As a hormone coach and a wellness expert, I know what high stress can do to your body.
Because I lived it. And I've studied it.
But against a lot of odds, I healed my nervous system.
The problem? After years in fight-or-flight, the damage ran deeper.
That’s when I made my best decision of 2025:
starting with Stat Wellness.
Stat is a comprehensive wellness clinic that combines functional medicine, testing, movement, and nutrition to uncover the root cause of symptoms and build a personalized plan for optimal health.
With an in-person, virtual hybrid model.
My goals: body recomposition (lose fat, build muscle), better sleep, more energy, and fewer PMS symptoms
What I’ve Learned So Far
My gut instinct was right.
There was more going on.
Years of high stress left fingerprints everywhere:
→ My immune system is suppressed (low sIgA)
→ I have gut dysbiosis and a weakened gut barrier (candida + parasites)
→ My pancreas isn’t producing enough enzymes, making it harder to digest protein, build muscle, and support metabolism. (borderline Elastase)
→ My progesterone is low due to “pregnenolone steal” ( when your body diverts hormone resources to make cortisol)
→ My testosterone is low too, from stress, nutrient malabsorption, and muscle loss
In short, years of stress took a toll on my immune system, gut, weight, and hormones, but now, I finally know where to focus to rebuild.
What’s Next
I’ve started a gut protocol to heal dysbiosis and improve nutrient absorption.
Why? because a healthy gut is the foundation for everything that comes next.
I also completed a movement screen to set myself up for success as I rebuild strength and prevent injury.
I’m almost through that and going to meet with my provider in a few weeks!
And I’ll be sharing my full year experience on my Instagram!
