Weekly Insight: Staying sane this season

Can you believe we are already half way through October? 🤯

And what does that mean?

Especially for parents…

Chaos and craziness.

I’m squarely in that world right now.

Between field trips, fall break, and thinking about the upcoming holidays, I can already feel the extra anxiousness and overwhelm setting in.

Yes, there is a ton going on this time of year

But, I also know that there is a lot in my control as well (reminding myself that as I write this!)

So here are 3 things I’m focusing on to stay healthy and sane this season

And hopefully this will help you through the rest of the year as well!

1️⃣ Setting boundaries

1 halloween costume per kid

Only saying yes to events that feel right for me and my family, not out of obligation

Re-prioritizing your calendar to make space for rest

2️⃣ Sticking to healthy routines as much as possible

Electrolyte water as soon as I wake up

High protein breakfasts to keep energy steady and cravings in check

Prepping proteins for easy lunches throughout the week

3️⃣Moving everyday

No time for an hour at the gym? 10 minute body weight workout instead

Walking with the family

20 minute home workouts when that’s what I have time for

It may not be easy, but being intentional about how you spend your time, what you are eating, and how you move is key.

And it’s so much easier if we plan for it now, before the real holiday madness begins.

🏆Your Well Challenge

A real-life mini challenge - something simple to try this week!

Take 10 quiet minutes this week to set your intentions for the rest of the year.

Choose three habits that matter most to you

whether that’s getting enough sleep, moving daily, or eating balanced meals.

Then write down one or two specific ways you’ll keep them going, even when life gets busy.

Maybe that means scheduling workouts like meetings, meal-prepping on Sundays, or keeping your phone out of the bedroom at night.

Small actions add up, especially when they’re aligned with what truly matters to you!

We’ve got this together!

🔥 My Hot Take

My POV on wellness trends, what’s hype, and the business behind it all.

An unexpected partnership dropped this month:

SoulCycle x Superpower

At first glance, it makes sense.

Both are performance-focused wellness brands.

But digging deeper, there’s more going on…

Superpower started as a very male-forward brand

speaking to the optimizers, tech bros, and biohackers.

(Which makes sense, as the founder is a male in that world.)

The problem? The majority of wellness spend comes from women.

And more than that, most people aren't athletes and biohackers.

They are normal people who want to improve themselves.

Enter SoulCycle: a community-driven, female-centric brand that brings emotion and community.

This partnership helps Superpower expand more naturally into a female audience.

And for SoulCycle?

Superpower brings the modern AI, health optimization lens that can help revive the brand, bringing it back to the center of conversation.

But that’s not all.

This partnership is part of a bigger trend we’re seeing:

Peloton + Twin Health.

Equinox + Function Health.

Fitness brands are pairing with health and data brands.

Because demand for holistic wellness experiences is increasing

and bloodwork will soon be seen as routine as workout class (especially as prices continue to drop).

But it raises an important question: who’s overseeing this data?

Are we putting too much in the hands of consumers without proper clinical support?

I love that access to data is expanding, but data without guidance rarely drives lasting change.

The real power lies in personalization and behavior change that follows.

What’s your take on these partnerships?

Reply and let me know! I’m curious where you think this is headed.
